Oiya Assalamualaikum.
First of all, I've been wanting to write these kind of section since long time ago,
yup, an appreciation section for all the videos that left me jawdropped. D:
And I got to make one of them this week because my teacher, fortunately, gave an assignment
to review an artwork and yeaaah! I think about write it here too heheh.
Ps. It will be pretty short since its for assignment buuut I will continue it next time!
PINK - What About Us
A famous and super talented singer, as well as songwriter, Pink, released a music video of one of her songs which titled 'What About Us' on August 2017. The song itself released as the lead single of her 7th album 'Beautiful Trauma'. So, what kind of music video is this? How does it amazes me?
The song contains wondrous lyrics with idiom that easy to understand, and it portrayed well inside the music video. Beside that, the music video also made a little surprise by including both emotional contemporer movements along with with powerful modern dance choreography, that might be represents two sides, misery and madness.
The video started with audio of protest and political speech, displaying the unhappylives of people from any kind of side. You can hear the words 'God Bless You and God Bless America' that might make you a bit goosebumps. It left a big impact because sounds so reversed with the video that shows suffers.
Pink and her people fight, scream, and dance in front of the police cars, under the spotlight of the helicopter as an act of speaking protest to the government. In the end, you can see people leans to each other that read as a message from unheard people who gathered to help each other against the politicians and leaders.
Overall, the music video obviously convey about the pain and suffer given by the governance and society to people under them.
